Default Battery Mount upgrade

Dear all, finished building the TCXX.
Awsome built and some nice upgrades against the TCX.

My only concern is the battery mount as its only secures the battery from moving forward and backward.

Tried the glass tape but its not 100% secure i.e. battery moves slightly to the right side.

Are there any other mounts that fit?

If you push the battery in against the inner holders and put the tape on tight it should hold. I have never had any issues.

btw otherwise you can use double sided tape on the battery to help support it

I am very much afraid of a crash and don't really wish to see my battery flying around the track. NO other car mount is compatable or with some mod?

Thanks

Fear not, the only time I have had my battery come out is when I used double-sided tape to hold my battery in instead of tape at the IIC and ran into Drew Ellis while he was going backward on the track Other than that it has never come out. The kit carbon stops are okay.

Seriously the Tape should hold perfectly. If it's tight there shouldn't ever be an issue.

Never had any problems using only tape!

However, you can use these ...

I just bought a TCXX used and do not have it yet. So to hold the battery in you have to use fiber tape? Seems kind of hokie.

High end TC's have been using tape to hold the battery in for years. An "old style" battery strap can introduce tweak to the chassis.
The only thing I've seen that would tempt me away from tape is the Awesomatix system which looks very nice, but heavier than tape.

you guys must be used to playing in the dirt?

Trust me when I say you will be fine if you use tape and go tight.

this is exactly what I currently use. Otherwise I use the Hudy black strapping tape if you can find it.

Hi All,

I have been seen same HB on our track and they go really good but the problem is there are no spare parts to purchase were can we get them?

Have anyone compared a HB TCXX with a BD7 which one to go.

What does the 6 holes shock Piston does better then the 3holes one, can it be used on the BD7 shocks?

Thanks.
