If you want to talk about geometry...
The minimal spacing between the spur axle and the motor axle is 27mm. The maximal spacing is 30.5. So if we talk about 64dp (where teeth deep is about 1mm) you can suppose that if the sum of pinion radius and spur gear radius minus 2mm is in this interval, you can suppose the combination will fit.
My 50T pinion radius is about 10.31mm and my 104T spur gear radius is about 20.86mm -> 10.31+20.86-2 = 29.17. I just test it and it fits perfectly. Final ratio is 4.05 with that...

From Nitro to Electric is like going in to a new hobby
One last thing for now. I beleive its also important to run the maximum pinion size for torque wise, what i mean is the following right?
53P with a 106S will give a ratio of 4.01
same as
50P with a 103S will give a ratio of a close (4.02)
Apart from torque as their anything different? i

I do not have a 106 spur but I'm quite sure that this combination won't fit...
104T/50T is about the limit...

Wow. Well I spent all day playing around with this bad boy and trying to get it setup. I am pretty damn close to getting this car dialed. I just need to get a little better touch up. But this car is pretty darn good on carpet. Car seems touchy on a few things but seems pretty good. Not to shabby.

TCX - Spec R DCJ compatable with TCXX
Dear all,
is the Spec R DCJ Version 2 front CVD made for the TCX compatable with the TCXX?
Thanks

So anyone out there tried the solid chassis? I have the car right on the edge of speed and traction rolling. The car feels fairly consistent for the most part but would almost seem to benefit from a unison flex.
I run 17.5 blinky on carpet. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Why do I need to use tamiya because the pin is thinner since the TCXX uses a thinner pin than TCX?

Yup!
New pins are only 2mm...
