Yes, that would be aluminum. It's apparently all the rage right now. Awesomatix uses one. Apparently holds it's flex characteristics better, longer, more consistent

Thanks I guess I'll have to wait. PS My old Cyclone TCs are still working well in USVTA and USGT classes. Was thinking I might need some thing more up to date for 17.5 blinky and as the TCXX still has many parts in common with the TC, for which I still have many spare parts. looks like a good option.

Hi,

I'm trying to get my hands on some of the old style HPI silver springs (#6543) for touring car that have completely silver coils, rather than the newer ones that have black coils with a silver paint mark.

If anyone has any that they want to part with please let me know.

if I wanted to put a TCXX chassis on my TCX - what new parts do I need?

I figure shock towers, upper deck and layshaft? am I missing anything?

Just to be clear, all you want is a new chassis or a full upgrade? All I did with one of my kits, was chassis and steering rack, everything else were direct drop-ins (partial upgrade).

yeah, San. that's all I want is a different chassis so I can try the center mount servo I alreadyfor sa set of lowered shock towers and gear diffs. so just the chassis I wanna change

I thought the tcxx bulkheads were closer together - if not then all I really need is just the chassis, right?

if I use the tcx steering rack, I'll just need to space them out more, right? or else the Ackerman will be different,correct?

I know everything else, suspension-wise is a direct fit. I was just worried about the shock towers

TCX and TCXX bulkheads are the width apart. All you need is the chassis.

Just add 2mm on the TCX rack to get your ackerman back where it was before.

Yes.

The TCXX chassis has the steering rack holes mounted 2mm back to accommodate the (+2mm longer)TCXX steering rack. Adding 2mm will get your ackerman back to what is was with the TCX chassis.

Which TCXX chassis did you get?

didn't get one yet. was talking with a guy one here for a lightly used tcx stock chassis. but didn't go any further because I wasn't sure what else needed to be changed over
