First race weekend with the Associated 12R5.2 and second time racing modified(Yokomo R12 for the first time). Good fun and clean racing by all.

I managed to sneak in for the TQ and ended up 2nd. Good fun

The second video is 21.5 2 cell. This was my second outing with this Associated 12R5.2 chassis.

Qualified 2nd and ended up 1st <----? I still don't remember the first place driver crashing. I was confused when I saw the results. Lol.

Does anyone have a good setup sheet for 17.5 1s on the new crc carpet? Have a big race coming up in a couple weeks and was curious what others are finding works well with the high bite.

With this kit being discontinued at the AE site anyone have any insight on whether or not a new version is in the works?

The kit is not discontinued. Where did you see that?

That's odd for a while on the RC10 site I had to go to the discontinued models page to access any parts and info on it and it was listed out of stock in a number of places. I just checked and it looks like it's back in stock and on the normal page. Odd?!?

im confused on the side dampers. Manual shows diff grease same grease you would use on ball diff. Set up sheet shows 20,000 cst which I assume would be same as 20k diff oil for gear diff in off road buggy, and another source shows rear oils 30wt/30wt. So what am i going to use in the side dampers ? diff grease, diff oil, or shock oil. Sorry this is very dumb but I just can't grab the idea of these dampers!

If you are talking about damper tubes, I would suggest 10k, 15k, and 20k. Go with 15k and go up or down depending on track conditions (for carpet).

You can use differential oil from your buggy for the side tubes. Make sure it's either 10,000, 15,000 or 20,000. 10K, 15K, 20K are the same thing.

The kit oil 30wt will be for the center damper. However, you can use other damper oils. However, please keep in mind on the choice of oil you use for tuning your damper. There are two kinds of oil viscosity measurements used in the hobby "WT" and "CST". Personally I run CST in all my cars, because most on-road setups follow this. Not all, but most.
