Default Tamiya 417x or Associated TC6.1?

Ok so Ive got a Sakura S Zero for VTA class. I want to get another, better car with cool stuff for a 17.5 TC Class.

I can get either, of course Ill pay 150 bucks more for the Tamiya.

BUT on VRC Pro I do a TON better with the Tamiya then with the Associated.

SO...tell me what everyone here thinks.

Whats the toughest car? I wont have any parts support at my LHS for the tamiya, but its so pretty! lol.

I really dont think there would be a difference in vrc between the cars. Im pretty sure all the veuro cars have the same setup options.

Im kinda in te same boat you are but couldnt really justify $650 when $399 is internationally proven to be in the same league. Maybe pick the car that is nicest o work on? I was also considering the tc6 but i dont
Like how the swaybars attach. The ballstuds for it are very soft aluminum and easy to screw up. Also the inserts they use now to make stuff "universal" kinda looks like extra work where not needed. they say to ca them in, so how do you change them then without mangling them? Seems to me like a system that saves them money to make but you would still need multiple sets of parts to try the different settings.

Both are awesome cars. I have the 417x and I love it. I have never broken anything on the car. I do get my ass handed to me every 2 weeks by a TC6.1 tho

I got a tc6 and I like it. Parts are easier to find.

TC6 is definately metric, well mine is

Why only the 417 or TC6.1? Why not the Sakura XI or one of the other brands?
