I would imagine any money you spent on it to get it competetive would be better spent on a newer kit.
That being said, I know people with Pro2's still kicking ass. It all depends on your setup skills and driving.
You got any pics of it?

I'm racing a Pro2, and still going strong. My brother got the RS4 Pro (the second HPI car) and it's also very competitive. This is at clube level, where 70 people meets, and we're at the top-10. Well, many factors plays a role, and personally, I'm only able to practise twice a week.

The pics are gone, I would like to see them

But consider this: Check out the spare parts avaiblity. If nothing is avaible, well.... But if you can get some parts, and I believe you can, go for it. Integy still have some RS4 parts, like steel CVD's and more.

If you buy some new stuff, place the money on things, that can be taken to a new car, like a good servo, charger and so on.

FW problem solved, now I see it. Yes, it's the very first version, with the rear arms swept backwards. I dont know much about it, but I believe it's a quite good car.

The first HPI cars was very compatiable, so if you can find a Pro2, and transfer all the nice parts

On the other hand, it would be great entertaining beating some new generation cars with this one
