The problem with belt cars is that nothing spins close to the Center of rotation in that design, and with lots of Rpms and power, things will get less efficient and break fast.... I will take a slightly heavier drivetrain that spins close to the Center of rotation anytime over a light drivetrain spinning far from the Center of rotation....

Default Mod racing

I JUST FINISHED A MOD AT THE CIRCUITS OF THE AMERICAS TRACK IN AUSTIN, TX AND THE NATIONAL LEVEL DRIVERS WERE RUNNING 4.0T - 5T MOTORS WITH ADVANCE TIMING PLUS BOOST AND THEY WERE FREAKY FAST DOWN THE STRAIGHT REACHING 60 PLUS WITH EASE..I WAS RUNNING A TRINTY D3.5, 5T MOD MOTOR AND IT WAS MORE POWER THAN I WOULD DREAM OF HAVING AND THATS WITHOUT A LOT OF BOOST! ! MY BELT DRIVEN SERPENT 411 ERYX 2.0 WAS KEEPING PACE AND MADE THE A MAIN! THIS TYPE OF POWER TOOK SOME TIME GETTING USE TO AND ONCE YOU HAVE REACHED A CERTAIN LEVEL OF CONFIDENCE THEN MAKE A GRADUAL MOVE UP IN POWER BUT REMEMBER SHAFT DRIVEN CARS ARE TOTALLY DIFFERENT FROM THE BELT DRIVEN CARS AND ANYTHING AROUND 4.0 T -5.0 T MOTORS REQUIRES A DIFFERENT DRIVING STYLE AND A THROTTLE CONTROL!!
