The new Speed Passion Reventon S is a great ESC. I have one along with 3 Reventon R's now and will be using Speed Passion in all of my cars. Factory direct pricing is around 60 bucks shipped and they seem to be on top of things as far as customer support. If you think you may end up non-blinky in the future then get the R which is not much more...either way you can't go wrong.

My vote goes to the Hobbywing JuStock. Fantastic ESC and you can get it for $49 from www.falconsekido.com.

Falcon Sekido is Hobbywing's USA distributor, so you can feel safe ordering from them. I ordered two for my VTA cars and they are awesome. I'd switch out the RS Pro on my 17.5 blinky for one if I wasn't running the narrow Exotek chassis.

Isn't the point of blink that there is no best speedo?

You would think so but some speedos have a smoother throttle feel that let you turn faster laps. Right now those are the Hobbywing speedos the Justock (Blinky Only), Extreme Stock, 1s and Xerun 120A. Luckily they are all also very low cost.

Yes, thats precisely why there is no BEST esc. It's all personal preference and perceived differences. Notice the trend of "the best esc is the one I run!"

Going by that logic Novak Kinetics are the best non blinky ESC because I have two of them. Just never mind they both have let the magic smoke out.

You have two of them so they must be good what makes them so good?
