Now that would have been a nice move. It was with Corally that he won his first World Championship. Wouldn't it have been nice if he gave them another.

Their present RDX is certainly good enough for it.

If I could choose between Corally or Tamiya,
I would also pick Tamiya!
Not that I don't like Corally (I'm currently racing with it),
but I think Tamiya has A better team at the moment.

I think the reason is the electric. I think Spashett wants to stay at Orion(He has his own Engine-label), and Corally have their own Batteries and Motors. So he chose the Team with only a car.

hehe, known about this for a little while.... In the 415 thread it was noted that a "big name" driver used a 415 to TQ and Win the carpet wars 2day meet over here.... apparently making the rest look average.
I did some snopping and discovered it was david.. but have kept quite about it (as instructed). Now the news is out, all i can say is, awesome!
If theres something us tamiya drivers lack over here in the uk, its a lack of a works supported team. Hopefully this will help change things a bit.

Why did he move? don't know for certain (only david will know), but i heard rumours along the lines of he was unhappy with losi.... Also, as i understand it, David is sponsered directly by Orion/Peak, and drives for Helger, car choice is his own.

Later

You mean you don't consider yourself fast ?

You are both LRP drivers and both fast. But you haven't answered my question. Are you still a Losi driver, fast or otherwise ?

Good luck.

1998 he won all 3...... 12th, 10th, and the Touring World Cup. Along with his 1994 12th scale win.

He's not the last big name that will be joining the TRF team...and that's all I can say about that

Congrats to David and Tamiya, should be a very dangerous combinaiton for the competition.

I think South Tyneside was the host location, that particular year. The town was South Shields and the venue was the Temple Park Leisure Centre.
