Run my BD7 2015 yesterday the first time and it was really nice.
Before I drove my 2014 and then I changed to the new with almost the same setup and it was 1 tenth faster in the first turn. It has more corner speed with more steering.
Today I will try more.
My "basic" indoor setup for a small and technical track with a lot of grip:
Spring: Pink / Blue
450 MuchMore Oil, 10% rebound (2 orings and black bladder)
Second hole from the inside front and rear
Droop: 6mm / 4,5mm
4.2mm FF mount
HB Mazda MPS, LRP CPX tire and LRP Carpet 3 additive
0.5mm bump steer
0.5mm under the front and rear chamber link inside
1mm under the front and rear outside
0.5mm at the center link

Does anyone know what spur gears are compatible with the yokomo bd7 2015? I'm looking to replace the stock 116t spur with something much smaller like a 96t spur and just was wondering if any other brand of spurs work because I can't get a yokomo one shipped to me before my next race. I race on a medium sized carpet track so the stock one is way too large. Thanks

I have attached my base setup, its not that radical.
Its for a slightly bumpy track so a little extra ride height,
The only things I have been changing for a medium grippy/smoother track is usually the diff oil and lower ride height.
Edit ooops : I don't run a shim under the front outer ball joint but I do run the slightly longer Associated ballstud part 31284, just for a little extra durability.
I don't have any old school HPI silvers so I usually stick with pink/pink as for me they work.
I have also uploaded a blank setup sheet as there isn't one on Yokomo's website yet.
Beth.

I guess its not that silly a question if your just starting out and have never done this before
I usually use hudy droop blocks (with the shocks off)
First pic is with a typical droop gauge measuring to the lower arm.
Second pic is with the ruler measuring to the middle of the outer pin.
I only use leespeed or panaracer

Thanks for sharing Beth.
Got mine out today with HPI silver front and blue rears and kit oils.
4.8 front droop and 4.4 rear. I would call it a low grip tight outdoor track.
13.5 boosted.
Beth, how so you find running so little droop in the front affects the handling?
Mick

I use the xray 92 sometimes on very large tracks
