Where is the leak, outdrives one side or both?

You will probably need a new diff casing.

The diff I have that wasn't fixed with P5 orings only leaked on one side and I have made the diff useable by using CA to build up the oring recess providing a better fit.

It was a pain to do (easy to stuff up) but the diff has been good for 30 plus runs with no leakage.

I don't know how long it will last.

Is it leaking from the orings or where the belt runs?

If its the oring you could always try using some yokomo red greace(yes they write it with a 'c' ), green slime or similar.

Which colour are the o-rings you got with the car, the red ones which don't fit and bind the diff up or the new neoprene ones which are black and just a fraction bigger than the original black ones?

I asked Corey whiteman, who is Andrew hardman's mechanic from team yokomo say they use the orange o rings from kyosho and have no leak issues. He also says to not over fill diffs as that also causes leaks.

Are those kyosho orings better than the new orange ones?
My orange orings did fine on the first few runs so far but you never know...

If the kyosho orings are actually better in some way, a part number would be greatly appreciated

Kyosho P5 Oring, orange in colour.
Kyosho part number ORGO5.

Please note kyosho parts numbers often have KYO on the front of them so some suppliers will list them as KYOORGO5.

its leaking out the actually pully part where the belt rides.

The stock Yokomo o-rings (BD-500G0) that came in my kit was a bit tight. I read on this thread that the Kyosho o-rings (ORG05) were also on the tight side. I opt'd to go with the new Yokomo o-rings (BD-500G0B) which was noticeable more free compared to the stock piece. I haven't run my car yet so I wasn't sure if they would eventually leak. It's good to know that they work.

5tylez - Thanks for sharing the info from Corey. I had the pleasure of watching the man do work in the past couple of big races. The car Corey puts down for Andrew is always dialed! I hope that they can obtain the results that they are seeking at the IFMAR Worlds.

when the set up sheets have "2 o rings" selected... how is that accomplished? it doesnt seem like 2 would fit in there correctly?

Make sure both surfaces are flat, although I haven't had that problem with yok diffs other brands have require the casing to be lightly sanded.

You can use a small amount of sealant where the gasket is as well.

If the neoprene fit properly they should be fine at first but how long until they swell and go hard?
