Yannic's set-up from ETS

http://www.petitrc.com/reglages/yoko...ich2014020102/

Front he uses Black springs (soft). As it seems the 2014 car is really aggressive on the front axis!? Maybe this is a good sign for asphalt tracks... I hope so

The new car is definitely more aggressive. I have had good results with blue springs all around with a spool and blue front, black rear with a gear diff with 2.5M. Also, high diff in the rear is a go to move for me once the tires break in. Our track is starting to be pretty high bite now, so taming the car is a must.

More likely due to odd grip conditions of the new type of "Black Carpet" ?

Just an FYI I am now stocking the Yokomo BD7 Hiro Seiko titanium and blue alumn screw kits for the car. I had several guys ask about them before and finally went ahead and got a few.

It's also sold here! http://www.reflexracing.net/GRC402-G...id_p_1713.html

I've been running Blue front and Black rears with my gear diff lately too. Except I run a high front diff and low rear. Hopefully I'll have my Black Edition here before the weekend and I can test it out.

I did notice other Yokomo setups that run a softer spring up front than the rear. Looks to be something to try when nothing else seems to work. I'd like to know what they DID try that didn't work for this situation.

My rear diff is leaking but not where the O ring is at. Its leaking at the center half part where the belt sits. Anyone else have this problem? Just noticed it leaking after a few months of use. How often are we suppose to change the paper thin gasket?

A lot of people say don't change the gasket at all, but yeah if it's leaking you probably have no choice.
Mine is original and I think I've had the car for about 15 months now.

Cool

You may want to check to see if both mating surfaces are flat
600 grit sanding on a flat surface, just a tiny bit is all

This goes for any gear diff using a gasket, not just Yokomo

My rear diff was leaking at the exact same spot. So, I doubled up on the gasket and applied a thin coat of AE Green Slime underneath the original gasket. I've only had my BD7 2014 for a week, so it's still too early to say whether this solution will work in the long run.

Ran this car for the first time at RSD, I'm very impress. I haven't set any records or anything but overall it's very easy to drive. I just copied Ronald V basic carpet setup and Cristian at RSD tweaked the drooped a little bit and that was it. Placed 3rd at my local track when I'm usually in middle of field with my xray.
