I agree the Corally, Hot Bodies, XrayT1FK'05, Yokomo MR4-TC BD were all inspired by the 415 which was a design made in COOPERATION with Tech Racing

So why settle for less than the best get the 415

Low CG is the trend and there aren't that many way to do it. Just like the shaft car.

Yeah, there are only so many ways to design a car with a low CG, convient side by side packs, and an perpendicular motor. Each car is EXTREMELY different when it come to details and quality. Xray is the best quality and wins the most races, so I'll put my money on Xray FK05 being the best of your choices.

The only way someone could think of all those cars as copies, is if they have no eye for detail.

When I look at those cars, I see more differences than similarities.

I agree there are so many belt cars out right now, but each one is really different. Except maybe the yokomo and the hot bodies.

True...but it gives people a warm fuzzy feelign to think that their kit is the best and original and that nothing else could ever compare....

A Hummer and a Ferrari are both the same because they have 4 wheels, are controlled by steering wheel and pedal input and are gasoline powered....aren't they?

What? you mean there's more to it than just a couple of basic design criteria?

This is rapidly becaoming my pet peeve in RC...the need to look at any new design and say...it looks like ______ ....

There are only so many potential configurations for the mechanical layout of the driveline components.. LOOK AT THE DETAILS

I totally agree w/ Johnnytc3, you may have the most expensive or most hopped-up car but can't drive it, it's useless..........

I have to agree with you.
Take A look at Formula 1, nascar, Indy cars, etc...
They all look the same, but saying A ferrari is the same as A jordan (in F1) just isn't right.
They simply aren't the same, they may have the same layout but that's about the only similarity (together with some other small things).

I guess all the cars will perform well, it's just which company you like, and how easy you can get parts for the car.
And this is where " killerjvf" thread comes into play, if you're A clubracer your better off with the car that the most guys on the track are using, better than buy another car and struggle on your own to find the best setup.
