Default 9200kv motor + 11.1v?

Hey guys, I'm planning on getting a Hobbyking 9200kv motor, and I intend to pair it with a 3S 20C 5kmah battery. Any pointers on whether it would overheat or burnout?

I would say if the esc is rated to handle the juice it may survive, but I feel the motor is gonna do itself in.

if the esc is matched to the motor amperage wise, they should be okay assuming the gearing is properly set. the C rating is too low on the battery i think. the draw from a power house like that is probably greater than 20c contstant and burst is way more.. you need a battery with a higher C rating. otherwise i think the battery would get really hot and fail. it cant dump power into the esc fast enough to feed the motor.

Thats my take

What are you planning on using it in? I'm guessing your prob going for top speed runs right.

And if you do get it running, I wonder how long the bearings in that Hobbyking motor will hold out for.

you will want to think about cooling that beast for sure and getting a high enough c battery to not catch fire or explode when you gun it.
should work alright. probably wouldnt run for 6 minutes, but if your just gonna rip up the street a couple times per run dont see why not.

make sure to take a vid, i wanna see that sucker go. got me thinking of running a 3s in my rally car, though that would only be a 6100 kv motor with boost.
