I owned a T3R and gradually upgraded over time. Spec-R parts fit as well, and are much less expensive. Great car for entry level or VTA.

Thumbs down T3R

I owned an x-ray then went to the TA06, stick with the x-ray. You need to understand the TA06 has a traditional gear box like a buggy and the car does not have traditional handling characteristics of most TC's. I drove it with the exotek chassis and with the regular tub, with the IFS front end and with the upright front shock tower. Subsequently, I almost went broke buying hop-ups and never acheived the handling I wanted. In the end the car cost me a lot of money and left me disappointed! I now run the 417 V5 which is a great car but a lot more money but still less than I spent on the TA06 in the long run. The TA06 MS doesn't even give you carbon fiber shock towers , what the heck!
Well good luck whatever car you choose.

Default xray T3r.1

II just returned from, the track and my T3r.1 was very good with the basic set up and the fiber glass top deck is perfect for asphalt racing! The multi flex system is great for asphalt racing so you will be pleased with the cars performance out the box set ...my t3r is a T3 after the optional partz added you should be satisfed with the cars performance. .
