Default ORION V2 motor questions

i have a standard blue endbell version 9x1 v2 motor. i use it in my xray and i was told that a hara edition would be faster for onroad. is that true? and why? also what brushes and springs do you guys use?

thanks
marshalv.

The Hara edition (purple endbell) is wound on a 4mm armature blank......which lends itself a little more twords 6 cell touring car racing to a certain extent........your 9 turn "modified" version ,(blue endbell) is wound on a 5mm armature blank which is known more as a torque blank.....the recomendation from orion is that for anything "under" a 9 turn thats going in a touring car with 6 cells .....get the modified (blue version).........9 turns and above....get the touring version (black endbell) which is also wound on the 4mm blank.......just like the hara and (I Believe) the Juka edition......and Ive always had the best luck with the (peak or orion)hard springs and sprint brushes.........Joe

- The Hara edition has A 3,5mm Core.
(with Power (sprint) brushes, max. RPM and great Punch, but
isn't that efficient)

- The Touring (black) edition has A 4mm Core,
(with Longlife brushes, lot of RPM and A good punch which is
needed for 4wd tourers)

- The Steenari edition has A 4,5mm Core,
(with Power (sprint) brushes, good Torque and RPM and very
efficient)

- The Modified (blue) edition has A 5mm Core.
(with Longlife brushes, max. Torque and A wide Powerband)

Thanks for the correction for the Hara and the Jukka versions blank sizes.......I always went by the orion website it says Blue 5mm...and....purple ......black.....and green.......as 4mm blanks........very missleading.........
