Won't your module system suffer from the same signal conversion lag you were bashing the Spektrum system for?

Awsome way to go Nimble! Like the site changes, how will it fit any transmitter does this include the ones without a module? Keep it up!

Don't get me wrong...I love the idea of more manufacturers exploring the technology.i tink it's the way of the future. You had some very interesting thoughts on how it will hold and filter the proper signals...my concern is the time it takes to receive a signal from the transmitter, modulate it, and transmit, as you were very vocal about how the Spektrum had to be slower.

Yes, our module system has the same lag issue as the Spektrum. I have said this lag is not an issue unless the car goes fast and you also have a fast servo. Clearly many people don't notice the difference between the 8ms HRS and 16ms PPM, so they probably won't notice a 22ms Spektrum or DART module.

However, we also have a DART Upgrade Kit that converts ANY transmitter and transmits directly from the controls that has a 2ms delay, fastest in the industry. No module is used, basically you only use the case and the controls, all electronics are replaced by the Upgrade Kit, which has a backlit LCD display. So a $39 AM radio can be upgraded, or a $200 M8 as well.

Cheers,

Nimble,

What would be the incentive for someone who already has a Spektrum to switch to the DART?

Also, the integrated personal transponder...does that work with existing lap counting computers like most tracks use or is it just for personal use?

i was wondering that..about the PT

is it a bit like the orion LCS..where you must use a seperate unit to count laps or does it work as an actual PT like the AMB?

There are a few reasons to switch to DART even if you have Spektrum already.
One would be our receivers will actually cost less! If you have multiple cars, that adds up.
Second is the size of our receivers are almost half the size and use four times less power also.
We have three channels of telemetry that are generic Analog-Digital channels, the sensors will not be some secret over-priced proprietary units only available from Horizon. The temp sensors are simple $10 units.
And perhaps key for racing is the personal transponder functionality.
The on-track lap-timer display is currently a standalone unit.
However, we will be integrating it into the race management.... the Raceiver has a Leader connection for an LED display that flashes when you are the leader in a race. Now that's being the Leader in R/C Racing Electronics!

Hey Jack,
Glad to see another hat in the arena.
I am only a Sportsman level racer but would love to try your Dart system. I have the Helios and the Spektrum system already but I believe in trying new things as to improve what we are already have available.
I know I am not some big name for your team but would love the opportunity to try your system.
I will entering the rest of the Babcock On Road series. I have a very poor showing at the first race as problems accured that were unavoidable.....(i.e. corner marshalls foot not where it should be)...
I was hoping to win your two lane at that event.
Let me know.

The DART Upgrade Kit is the small unit shown behind the Raceiver and Module.
It is a complete transmitter, except for the control inputs and power. So you hook it up to the power and controls of an existing controller. The box can be mounted different ways, it is really up to you how to do it. One could even remove the hardware from the box and put it inside an existing radio, just need the place it so the LCD is visible.
We may offer a low-cost controller already upgraded.

Steven, now don't blame corner marshals.. The shootout race was very exciting, our congrats to Brian Aldridge for the win. He also won the A-main at the event.

We are seeking drivers to win using the system but that doesn't mean we won't provide it to others for testing.
We need wider testing to insure problems don't occur, we'll have a test program to sign up for soon.

Sounds good.
I wasn't blaming the marshall in fact I went up to him to make sure i didn't hurt him.
I got hit in the foot by an 1/8 scale buggy....Not much fun...
I was just poking fun...
That is what makes R/C fun....the unknown....
Thanks for the opportunity...of perhaps signing up as a tester..
I will keep my eyes peeled.
Thanks,
Stephen <><

Just joking with ya..
I thought the 1/10th scale gas trucks where dangerous for marshalls and was hesitant to let my son marshall, I'll do it instead if possible, after seeing the 1/8 scale buggies.. no way for my son, maybe not even myself! Need full body armor and a helmet to get infront of those!

Yea I thought to bring out my old football gear and bike helmet.
Guess there is a rumor some guy died from a direct hit to the temple with an eigth scale....VERY DANGEROUS....
Gotta love the raw power though...
I had one but didn;t have time to run it....
Now I only have 6 R/C cars...I had ten at one point...LOL
Looking very closely at the DART system though looks like Spektrum should be worried.
I like the system so far but would love to be able to have a little bit more...LOL
Take Care & GOD Bless,
Stephen <><
