Trust me I was doing everything I could to pass you for quite a few laps. The sweeper was my only shot. I do my best to race clean, and thank goodness we made it through without an altercation. I actually think your car handled better than mine, but I had more speed. You need to get EA to help you in the motor department. He made us all look slow.

It was great racing that clean with everybody. My lack of straight away speed definitely made me drive hard and stay off the boards to try to hold you guys off, and believe me, after A2 i started thinking about it.

I'm still trying to figure out why my car decided to have a bi-polar moment after the sweeper trying to run you down.. lol

But in all seriousness I ended up cranking my motor timing to the moon and hoping she held together just to get some straight speed after Saturday. Thankfully the room stayed fairly cool so it didn't end up being an issue.

Yea my wife says the same thing. I get up at 3:30am for work and many occasions I've been working on my car by 4am and end up leaving late, especially if its for a saturday race.

I had to leave immediately for Huntsville after the race and I'm just now getting to peek at this thread. I'd like to thank everyone, Myron, Dirla, the tech guy who worked very hard during this event, and all the locals who put in time and effort both inside and outside the facility. The sub-floor was awesome. All the hospitality from the locals was greatly appreciated as well.

Thanks again to everyone and I hope to be back next year.

Well Dirla only has one to go then because that isn't a hobby shop.

Well I wanted to wait until the posts slowed down a little bit post race. I had a blast at the USVTA Southern Nats. Thank you everyone for making an event like this possible. Myron, thank you for all the time you spent making this an incredible race. Dirla, thank you for providing the track and once again being the best announcer of races I have ever heard....I still don't know how you remember and keep track of everyone's names and whose cars they are associated with. There are many many other people that deserve thanks, some of whom I don't even know of, but thank you all. It was fun putting a name with a face with a bunch of you and hopefully I can make it again next year.

I keep reading more and more everyday...all of you are the best in my book...I really dont think all of you know how much all this means to me....

I know there is room for improvement, and I will try and correct all my wrongs...I hope to do better and bigger next year and give you guys the race/event you deserve

The USVTA and Thunder RC will continue to help the growth and sucess of on-road racing
