I've seen the options for other stiffer chassis' directly from yokomo and the demon chassis, along with the team bomber deck doubled up with the standard deck.
Any reviews on these offerings, and is there another carpet chassis offered in the USA that is easy to order.

Thanks again.

What arms should I be using on the car? SDWs?

Electro, build the car out of the box first, then evaluate. I ran mine box stock on carpet/foam tire for a while and it worked well. With help from others on this thread, it has been improving further. I've never had any problems with steering on my BD and am very reluctant to graft on other mfg's parts. Having said that, I did use a set of Xray blades on my drive shafts to save my aluminum diff halfs. I'm currently running the "hard" chassis and bomber top deck.

some people run on tracks with very low traction and need the extra steering throw to get the car to turn, (thats a guess). on carpet you will not need those parts. you might invest in yokomo hard chassis, but i would just work on set up. maybe asphalt foams will be the ticket for you on the carpet.

but i would just build it before i started to change it, you might like it stock, i do.

The bd steering is quite good right out of the box. I run foams on carpet and usually turn down the steering. I do use a very stiff chassis as the stock one has a bit to much flex for me.

Talking Yokomo BD Masami or Regular BD

Need to know which kit to get...the Masami Spcial kit or the regular BD. WHat are the differences of the Masami kit performance wise over the BD? Is the Masami a different car? What areas have improved on the Masami edition over the regular BD? What performance inprovements will I get from the Masami kit over the BD?

Default Yoki go Byby

Guys....I regret to announce that I'm forced to sell my beloved BD and my yet un-used LCG. Going with the BD will be hundreds of dollars in spare and option parts, way too much to list. The LCG has some spare and Rayspeed parts as well. Both cars will come with carpet and asphalt chassis and are in mint condition. Thought I'd offer them up to those who have helped me here on this thread before putting them on the sale thread.

PM me if you're interested.

Default BMI

it's been bounced around quite a few times on this thread
...but I don't think BMI wants to cut anything for the Yok BD..
there have been a few rumors that they were going to do it...
but still nothing after quite a while.

If anyone can get them to do it....great....nothing compares to BMI quality... ......come'on BMI cut us something.

Demon based in the UK does a thick chassis..but not sure how good it works, anyone have any active feedback on the Demon chassis?

The Demon chassis is very good, works well in door on carpet as its 3mm and gives more steering as the front wishbones have been moved back 4mm to shorten the wheelbase, also the batterys have been moved forward 2mm. I wont use anything else.

i had my own custom chassis cut by the guys at fiber-lyte, http://www.fibre-lyte.co.uk/ and its been great, no complaints what so ever. might be a bit pricey if you dont live in the UK, but they can deffinatly make u a top chassis.
