DOES IT HAPPEN ON FULL LOCK OR MID WAY THROUGH STEERING LOCK.
IT COULD BE THE RIBS IN THE WHEELS COMMING IN CONTACT WITH THE ARM TO FIX THIS PROBLEM USE WHEEL SPACERS.

Default Parts Needed to make the BD a carpet killer.....

Hi,
I just aquired a new BD kit (not Masami) that I was considering running for foam stock or 19t.
I was searching the thread for the parts needed to do this.
Can anyone list the differences in the available option chassis'. I know Yok makes three different kinds, but there's also the Daemon from the UK, how about top decks? and arms etc. Are there any other options for diff. outdrives? any help is appreciated.

if you look back a few pages, chris grainger explained the 3 chassis types. there are older and a newer std plates which are same flex but newer one is a bit stronger at the front and a 'hard' plate which is a bit stiffer. deamon make a 3mm chassis with shorter wheelbase and batteries further forward.

as for bits you don't need much else except rollbars and springs (and front diff if you running foam I spose). yok plastic spool is sposed to be best (for stock/19t)if you want one.

hope that helps, no doubt there will be more suggestions!

Sorry to say that after 11 years of racing every weekend and some, it just became more work than pleasure. See you around.

Hello guys!!

these days i tested my new spool from patrick , the one that i posted pictures some pages before!!!

After 12 runs friday , saturday and today , no wear at all for the delrin cups , also , when i changed from TIR's spool i had more steering , low and high speed but also initial to med and med to exit !!! so it is perfect for everyone that loves extra steering like me !!!

it worths to give it a try!!!

BD owners,
I was researching the thread for tips/mods on this car before I start building my kit (standard BD).
What's the issue with the steering system on this car?
I've read and seen the modification to use HPI parts for C-Hubs, steering blocks, and rear hub-carriers. I've also seen using the older MR4-tc c-hubs and steering blocks (?) along with CGM graphite steering levers.
Please help, I'm really confused, how is the car's steering out of the box.

I've also heard that the graphite steering plate is weak. Has anyone considered making a graphine piece that would move the turn-buckles more to the center, between the steering levers, much like the cyclone, or new 415MRE.
Just wondering.

Also what's the final news on a carpet chassis and top decks. It sounded like a few pages back (~page 203) someone was putting some significant effort on making a carpet chassis for this kit. I'm planning on running this car for 19t rubber on carpet, but wondering if it would be a good foam carpet car too. Has anyone done the motor bulkhead mod for more flexibility, wondering if it's worth the risk of destroying the bulkhead.

All help is appreciated.
