one thing i forgot to mention, i use straping tape to hold the batteries to the chassis instead of the battery brace, it allows the chassis to move equally on both sides.

On the rear shocks I have to wind the pre-load basically all the way down as far as it will go to get about 4mm ride height. I run 4f 3r droop, and my shocks are 64mm rear 63mm front. Does anyone else have this problem? Or anyone know how to solve it? It is really really annoying.

I can't make my shocks any longer without the shock ends falling off, so I was thinking of trying the long shock ends but everyone says it makes the car handle funny, and to never use them, but I don't understand how making the shocks 65mm with long shock ends is any different to making hte shocks 65mm with short shock ends apart from the fact that they wont fall off in a impact.

Any input? Because im clueless
In regaurds to this. With alot of help and thinking from one of the Yokomo gurus here he figured it out. I was using the aluminum speed racing rear hubs to gain 0.5 out board toe. But it turns out the axel sits about 1mm (maybe more) higher then in the standard hubs. I havn't actually tested it at the moment because my car is in bits as I am rebuilding it. But comparing the two hubs side by side you can deffinetly see the difference.

So if anyone else is having this problem, and is running those hubs, take a look.

Moral of the story, stick with genuine Yokomo parts

I heard Yokomo anouncing a new touring car on the 28th of this month, has anyone got any info on it already, maybe Chris Grainger can shed some light on it, he has been very quite on here of late, time for another post Chris and spill the beans.
I wonder if it will be a new car or a revision of the BD.

whohooo... I'm hoping for yokomo to come up with a new touring car I've been running my BD for 2 years now still very competitive with it.

Im thinking it will be just a revised BD maybe with a new steering set up like the team has been running. The BD has been around for a couple of years now, so maybe its time for some new BD parts.
Still would be good to hear from Chris what the changes are.

Hey everyone, I just picked up a new BD (not the Masami) and have been searching the form for the latest modifications to the car. Can someone share which parts and part numbers (arms, c-hubs, steering mods, etc.) I should consider buying/doing to help me compete in 19t carpet/rubber class. Is the stock chassis good or has there been a stiffer chassis released yet? Thank!

ok here are the must have parts for rubber racing on carpet:

RS-25 (swaybars front)
ZC-412 (maybe ZS, not sure, swaybars rear)
Rayspeed Green Spríngs (for the Rear, Blue/Green works nearly always)
SD-202G +
ZS-4134 (this is the steering setup Masami ran at JMRCA, but...)
HB Frontend (.. feels better when driving. can'T describe why but the car feels better with them)
SD-415S steering arms (if u use ZS-4134)

tha bd-001gh is also a very good option part but I would try the stock chassi.

I think its time for something new too, all of these xrays and corallys running around here unchecked. Time to put a new yokomo in the hobby shops. a US spec (stiff) chassis that would work great on high traction surface with foams.
