How are you getting along with the battery slots Mr Shookie? are they a tight fit in the slots?
Nope they sit perfect with 3300's. I took a tiny bit of ca to hold the trays in a little better since I tape my packs in. Although I am looking at the sweet Battery hold down and condiplating putting it on. I know that they will have another tray for 3600+ because of there larger diameter. I Finished with everything....EXCEPT NO DECALS>>>>Steve GET HOT....J/K....But check with Robert ASAP....My Bodies look all naked right now.....Wish it wasn't so but it is....This how things go......No body in the kit No decals either....But hey it kept the costs down and now I got some brand new rims....LOL
I will say one thing it freeked me out ot find two extra bearings in my kit....I looked through that manual seven different times to find out where they go and nothing...Oh well got spares with my kit....LOL. I have already hopped it up, adjustable body mounts, wide front bumper, grafite hubs and C-hubs. I go to the track in about two hours...Should be a blast today. I will bring the SD as a back up incase I can not get it dialed in....although I figure I won't have much trouble. Have fun building guys.....I hope everyong makes there A Main this weekend.
Take Care & GOD Bless.

With all the cutouts in the chassis plate and topdeck I was just wodering how stiff car is. Just looking at the pictures I am guessing that the car is not stiff enough for carpet - am I right?
Thanks

Yeah i noticed that your bumper looked rather wide, i am getting a rubberneck one hopefully.

I am going to trust myself not to crash at first and use the kit hubs etc,

are those ball cups the kit ones???

I was wondering if anyone was going to catch those. Yes and no...Yes they were in your kit, but were for the swaybars....I ordered more as to have a more free suspension. I also have a Ruberneck one coming...Well infact I got him to make a Extra wide one to fit the upgraded wide one. He already has them for the normal bumpers though. Just find "wannabee" here and PM that you want one and he hook you up. I had to order a TC3 bumper through his website and just put in the notes section of the paypal that I really wanted SD or now the BD same thing. I have been saved many times by the extra wide bumper...best money spent on either kit.

Do you find the graphite parts much stronger than the kit plastic ones? on my SD i broke alot of front hubs but didnt bother getting the graphite ones as you could not get them in the none trailing arm type, (you get two front hubs instead of one front and one back)

worth the extra cash?

I dont suppose you know the part number for the revamped wishbones? I can only seem to find the ones that fit all four corners.

I am ordering a bumper within the next week

Good Luck at racing

Of course the chassis will be stiff enough for carpet. However having a stiffer chassis would be a nice tuning option.

EA- Wow, sounds like you're liking the car if your already commited to a carpet chassis kit for it. Post some pics whenever you get a chance.

I think i will be purchasing it as i am pretty confident the current chassis will not be the optimum for the car, i run nearly all carpet meetings so

Unfortunately...it didn't work, spoke to Robert Itoh over at Yokomo about it too, the spacing of the pulley and the gear is different, aside from the size of the back plate. I wish it works then we can just up the production run we already have going on the SD spool

It was a blast putting this car together....Will let you all know how it goes tomorrow when I race it....Still got to get base setup...
I'm jealous!!! honestly, I can't complete my car because I had to send my one-way unit and pulley away to our engineer to do CAD drawings for the spool

Good luck racing Stephen

Does anyone know what side goes where on the pulley that holds the spur gear in place?? Does it go on the right or on the left? or does it not matter?
The gear mounts to the front 1 way pulley it looks like.

Does anyone know if they'll make a locked pulley?
