Just a question for anyone who knows....

Why don't we see the BD at any carpet events? Where's Easton while say, the IIC is happening or Snowbirds? I know the BD isn't really designed to be a carpet car but neither is the Cyclone or 415.

Default Carpet

My opinion Yokomo doesn't place a big effort for the US market since it's a small $$$ for them. Think you'll find more BD's on the west coast when comparing to the rest of the US..since there is more outdoor racing oppurtunities on that side of the country.

I've used a BD on carpet for 2 seasons and it's a capable car but the flex is where the car comes in a tad bit on the weak side for carpet that is.
If Yokomo had introduced a 3mm option chassis around the release time this car would have been one of the elite carpet racers from inception. The Yokomo hard chassis is a bit stiffer and a good tuning option but they should have released a super stiff top deck then the car would have been a carpet killer.

Don't get me wrong this car is a killer and can be setup to run on any track.
I'm actually going back to run a BD on carpet, mainly because the car was very super easy to setup when compared to other cars (I've had them all)and just had tons of speed to it. With the right driver the BD becomes a true weapon.

Amen to that brother well said. Yokomo BD is probably one of the most underated car out in the market especially here in U.S. People just don't know what this car is capable of I've tried every car out in the market but I kept my BD and sold everything. At my local track I'm the only one driving a BD, most of them is Xray, cyclone most of the guys drive but those car only see the rear end of my YOKOMO BD But soon to be MLP X10P4

Does anyone know when Yokomo will launch their new EP Touring car?
My BD still tough and competitive. Just look a little bit old, since other brands release new cars every hafl year... .

Default OLD!!!!!

Piyo..Piyo....you hurt my BD's feeling... she still thinks she is still in her prime.

the BD is still an attention grabber....
every time i take it to the track..people just can't their eyes off it.. she's kind of like a woman who everyone looks at but just doesn't know how to approach her..so only the few brave enough to grab her can wheel her

BD can keep up with anything that is newly released...this car was way ahead of the rest of the field when it was released...hell if the car was released now it would have been tops...
think the only refinement needed on the car is a new steering layout...and maybe a smaller Chub...to gain more steering..but I've just been sanding the Chub down to gain that few mm's of steering throw.
Other than that the car is hands down great.

just got a 3mm chassis for my Bd with different whellbase spec & battery slots slightly forward aswell & it went really well last sunday @ my local indoor carpet/rubber track won the A final from 3rd (would of been 2nd buy tamiya in front fell to bit`s (pin came out) ,but it was a lot better
got less cutouts in the chassis aswell ,top deck is std

no cyclone crap on there either running 15 degree steering lock aswell (25 is std) who wants more lock not me

You're right about the BD Olhipster, it's surely under rated. I'm running the hard chassis and bomber top deck and with just a little more corner speed it would be turning the same laps as my 007. Don't know why but the car accelerates harder than the Xrays.

The LCG on the other hand is a failure on carpet as everyone warned me

I too have the only BD at my local track....they don't know what
there missing!

I'd sure like to see Billy at the snowbirds or somthing this year just to prove a point you know.
