what new parts... just because a team drive is using proto-type parts does not mean new parts will be put into prodution,

i have a few of my own proto-type ( team Dremel in the house),

Of course. IIRC someone previously mentioned there was new steering parts coming, and with Masami being right up there at the past Worlds, you would expect that there would be something coming

unless you hear it direct from a mfg, or a mfg employee for that matter, i would not bank on new parts coming out,

you have to rememeber if and when you see a proto-type part on a Team Drivers Car, ( they are doing R & D, this is a job for them)

For everyone's information: BD-003M is the upper deck mount.

Probably to prevent damage to his batteries. It always causes damage to my cells - must dremel it out some day...

Correct, it is purely for flex. Just gives the car a tiny bit more steering and makes it more consistent.

Regarding new parts. From what I understand, the parts Billy had at your nats (ROAR?) are different from what was used by the Yokomo team at the worlds.

Billy had a new steering rack and a few other bits that he had done himself but the prototype bits used at the worlds were new front and rear hubs. I can't comment on any of Billy's stuff but I know that the new hubs will go into production.

Hope this clears up any confusion.

Stu

vortex if you grind the extra threads off the bolt and stick a bit of foam on you shouldnt have a problem

If it was 0 we wouldn't be using it on the front to achieve outboard toe-out!!!

the post your referring to is mis-leading in that question is not about the stock rear front brace BUT using the alternate piece that was intended for the front rear brace being used as the rear front brace. This induces some degree of toe... not having tried it i don't know how much either
