obviously not POPS but no it wasn't the RP one. Nothing like the graphite one that RP made into alum.

Hi,

owned? I don't really think so... In the video it looked more like Ronald missed the break point, he shoot over the apex of the corner and Masami was in front of him again.
But Dan is right. Ralf Helbing -developer for GM Racing- was in Italy with Masami and they tested both, Brushless und Brushed. According to Ralf, Masami was always a bit faster with Brushless.

I ran the Brushless system again this weekend and qualified 7th and ended up 8th (with 3x7th places). Could have been better, but the Brushless shut down in the last final. Too much heat... It was too hot and the new IB4200 SHV seemed to produce too much power... The car was always super-dialed with new tires but then laptimes went up by 0.6 seconds... The VTEC tires don't like high temperatures...

Cheers
Chris

Kinda obvious Yok would be working on new parts pre-worlds, same thing happened 2 years ago!!!

Main thing Masami needs now after the great handling car, is some more horsepower! He got owned by Voelker with an LRP brushless down the straight at the Worlds Warm Up
No this rack is very different, it was solid aluminum and kind of thick, with the links mounted on the front edge rather than on top. I sat next to Itoh and Easton and his car rocked, so did Billys driving by the way. I was very impressed at how much work went into the car and how professionaly Billy approched every aspect after every run.

For those of you who are interested, Alex had the most unlucky day of racing A-Mains, after qualifing 4th in Stock. His car was on rails, it was really in good shape. First A-Main a cell must have vented during charging and was not caught, he had to pull it off just after the start, 5 cells = slow. Placed 10th. On the second A-Main he was t-boned about a half lap into the race and the battery pack was dislodged about 1/4 out causing a major tweak, got one lap and had to pull it off. Placed 10th. Well we were ready to come out and kick a$$ in the 3rd A. Got about a 1/2 lap into the first lap and he was again hit from the back quarter, slammed into a corner popping a steering ball cup. Placed 10th. Best part was getting a TQ and qualifing well.

Pops.

Just wondering from your post...Do you represent YokomoUSA?

If so I was always wondering other then Billy Easton who I'm guessing is a Factory driver...

Who else runs for YokomoUSA...either Factory or semi-sponsored?

Xray, Corally, and others have stepped up big time in the semi-sponsored market and they have grown bigtime in the US. Just wondering now that there is a YokomoUSA will we see a growth there too.

Thanks

Personally I hope Yokomo dont bring out a another new worlds kit after just bringing out the Masami Editon..

A range of hop-ups i'd buy, another full kit, probably not..

Easton is the only Driver that Yokomo USA has that would be
considered a factory driver.

I think Yokomo has a few 50% drivers in the USA, but obviously
they are not house hold names.

The last 50% driver i know of that was competitive for yok is
Jason Ertracher who now drives for Corally.

Alex is more than a 50% driver, but not full factory. There are not that many sponsored Yokomo drivers.

Easton actually runs for Yokomo Japan.

I believe the full factory drivers are only drive for Yokomo Japan, i.e Masami, Easton, Grainger. Not sure if ther is any others.

I don't represent Yokomo USA, my son runs for Yokomo USA and I wrench for him as my hobby. He has been running RC cars since he was 11 years old, that's 10 years now.
There are a few sponsored drivers for Yokomo USA, but to my knowlege the only factory driver is Billy Easton and he runs for Yokomo Japan. Why it's different, I can't tell you, it is just one of those things about the way companies are structured.

Hi,

@Ralf: No, unfortunately I had only one arm left from the carpet season and there was no dealer who had another pack of arms. But I could imagine that I would have gotten a bit more steering. I will test it in two weeks... Another race there... but only 17T...

Cheers
Chris

Pops- can you post your son's setup from the Nats? I am looking at getting back into the Yokomo line of cars and will be running on rubber tires with this car. Any help would be great.

Thanks

Jeff
