I'm totally in agreement with you; your car felt uber-dialed today Now I just have to order a new stiff chassis-n-bits...

pics show track being built, but scroll down for more pics.

Hi,

did you race on rubber tires? Would you mind to share you setup?

I was this weekend at Türkheim for the Euros WarmUp. My car was really dialed after a few packs. I drove my fastest laptime after the rain (14.899). The really fast Xray guys (Groskamp, Wilck, Myrberg,...) drove around 2-4 tenths faster... so... that's ok for me...

Cheers
Chris

yes rubber tires, sorex 36's premounted by speedmind.

setup

stiff yok chassis, standard top plate. front one way camber link in middle hole on c hub, no spacers under inner camber link, steering link ball studs on bottom of 0 degree steering arms and center plate, ball stud on plate 2nd hole from front. front shocks, 40wt losi oil with 3 hole yok piston mounted middle hole on front arm, 2nd hole from inside on front tower, with yok white springs with pink dot.

direct drive on spur gear. 110 64t spur. rear diff set tight, white springs with yellow dot, R0+2 rear camber block, .05 rear hubs. 50 losi shock oil with 2 hole piston. mounted outer hole on arm and 2nd hole from outside on tower. outter camber link in standard position, no spacer on inner camber link ball stud. using the long ball studs on rear and short in front. gold sway bars front and rear. installed the one piece hinge pin mounts not sure if it was a performance gain or not. no spacers under hinge pin mounts. droop is set with car sitting on board with tires on. ride height of 5.5 mm in rear and 5mm in front and holding the tires down chassis will raise 4 mm in front and rear. i.e. ride height gauge will slip in to the 9mm position when chassis is raised with tires touching board. hope that helps. i know our aphalt and your tarmac is different, so not sure if it will work, but you won't know if you don't try drive with a smile. ritchie

one more note, this is setup i built the car with when changing over to the stiff chassis and white springs i just recieved from yok, i have yet to try and fine tune it.

I just moved to Japan and am looking forward to some great racing with my BD. The other day I found a hobby shop and couldn't believe the wall of parts they had for the Yokomo. I then walked over to the shelf and found a Masami edition BD. I can't wait until my car is here and I can go racing. By chance do any of you know some good tracks in Japan? Also, what's the brush of choice and a ball park roll-out for a 23t motor?

Yatabe Arena: www.yatabearena.com (if you can read japanese). Its Yokomo's test track(s) in Japan.

Edit: http://www.yatabearena.com/information/index.html is a better link, still in Japanese though

If you're in the USA, YokomoUSA should be able to help you out.

Hard chassis for BD: BD-002GH
Masami Shock Tower: BD-018MG

Edit: Sorry, I see you're not in the USA. Im not sure of any stores in Europe you could buy from.

Hi,

click in my signature on "RC CAR World" and send him an email. He will get back to you fast. He doesn't have the parts in the shop at the moment but he can order them for you.

Cheers
Chris

In my opinion RC-Car-World is the best Online-Store for Yokomo in Europe. Good service, great prices and super fast shipping. I can also recommend this store.
