Default Steering Plate

Prehaps we should be trying to pressure yokomo into making these a bit stronger. or at least getting them to bring the price down of the replacements.

Really strange some of you are breaking so many...I've been running BDs since last June through the winter indoor season and outdoor nationals and have never had one break or even look like breaking
I know that play in the steering rack is a usual concern with the car, but maybe having it too tight increases its chance of breakages rather than leaving it with a bit of play????

just want to clarify that the ackerman plate i have made MAIN purpose is to change the ackerman / steering of the car NOT to make one that doesn't break. i don't believe the original or stock piece has a problem OTHER THAN the available ackerman.

this plate moves forward the holes to mount the tierods over the stock piece this was intended and as you may have read a few others have been doing this also. the car just turns better with the holes forward - more aggressive - which for fast sweeping tracks is not as important.

Re: the custom ackerman plate. Is the second hole on that plate
the same as any of the stock plate position?

I think your right co'z everytime I tighten it up to take away some slap, I always ended up breaking it. So I just leave it the way it is haven't had a break since. If MASAMI is running his car like this why shouldn't I.........

u can get rid of any ''wobble' play'' ect

Get a screw same thread but longer and get 2 shims and 2 lock nuts 'must be lock nuts' put the screw thru the plate/steer rack then the shims the put the lock nou on and tighten it up untill their is verry little slop and that it is still free this might take some time but it's worth it!!

FR and RF blocks are the same #'s as the old blocks as far as I know, the springs are :

Black YS-1460L
Blue YS-14575L
Yellow YS-1455L
Pink YS-1565L
Green YS-15625L
Orange YS-1560L

(Soft) Black→Blue→Yellow→Pink→Green→Orange (Hard)

Dont know about the tower. Anyone got their Masami manual handy?
