Why the BD? I loved my SD. I got it hooked up at our local track. But I also love my 415. It's just sooo smooth and quiet. I just like the way belt cars handle. My 2 fav companies are Tamiya and Yokomo. My first 2 touring cars were the TA03R and YR4M2 Pro. The 415 is nice. But a pain to maintain. The BD would be a breeze with the easy access diffs. Parts support is no problem and I know it's not a limited kit/release. Meaning that Yokomo will continue to support the car for years to come. The SD is over 2 years old now. I also like RaySpeed. The BD comes with many hopups that I won't need to buy like I did my SD. So I can see the price justification.... to a point.. hehe. Oh... and one last thing... Masami....

KilRuf:

Saw your post in the 415 thread how you got the SD to drive faster than the 415... Care to share some tips how you did it?

setups or drivetrain freeing up tricks maybe?

My SD faster than my 415 in the 415 thread? Are you talking about an older post from last year around July?? hehe... That was when I was gonna run my 415 for our Region3 Champ race since it was faster than my SD. But a few days before I tested my SD with a new setup and found it to be faster than the 415 (in stock class). I posted that winning setup around July. So you'd have to search back for it. I have no idea what page it's on or anything. It would be in the SD thread. But I still don't know/remember what you are talking about though or when I said that recently.. hehe. hehe

Hi guys,

got a call from Yokomo today, the kits are currently going through packaging in Japan. Also, I was told that it will use the same diff out-drives, leaving the only difference in component being the pulley

yeah...

I remember it clearly because it's one of the reason why I was willing to sell my 415 and retain my SD, which I did.

I think it would be around july last year. I skimmed through the entire 415 thread when I got my 415. Then I got a heavily hoppuped SD and decided to sell the 415 to recover the money.

I'll go look for your setup then.

Yeah, the setup works great on our local track. But not parking lots. It was with the RaySpeed chassis. But it worked on some of the other guys Yokomo's with the SSG chassis. If ya can't find it, maybe I can dig up the setup somewhere and email it to ya.

story of the day for myself to keep my mind away from the BD release..

man.. spend 30 min just trying to put on the wide front bumper...
need to cut them... shave them... and trim them..... (sounds like i'm cutting meat)
ended up i only use the foam itself without the plastic tray.....
owell....... i hope when i crash.... it won't break my lower arms again
OR.... Will it??? hmm... i think with my chopping across the lane skill... it will break anyway

Steve W:
YOU better start drinking those Red BUll and chewing starbucks coffee beans
Then start packing the package and ship the BD baby to us!!!
btw: we get the english manual right

I don't want to see Steve wired on Red Bull and coffee beans...that would not a wise choice he might send me a FK05 instead of my BD although that is a nice car I want my BD....
Heck I offered my time to go to Yokomo USA and put together kits when they come in. I dought they will take me up on my offer though.
Well if Steve said that Yok Japan is getting the shipment together, and that was yesterday our time then it was the day before their time, then it should ship their time today, which would our time yesterday and that way the shipment might have left already our time yesterday today....Or maybe I am over thinking this
I have a good feeling that on the 31st my kit will be in my hands.
Although if it were sooner my heart wouldn't be too broken to put it the kit together....LOL

Yes, rest would be good...

Actually, they will not be shipping the kits until it is released in Japan on the 25th (which means they will probably be shipping it out to us on the 28th) it takes just one days to get here, but it can take 1-2 days to clear custom, so it'll be the end of next week at the earliest (April 1st) before Yokomo USA even sees them. It'll probably take them 2 days to get everything accounted for and packaged up. Look for us to start sending these kits out first week of April is what I'm estimating.
