Thanks for the heads up about the carpet chassis. I probably would have gone for it without knowing it had a stiff carpet chassis.

Try the Xenon X type Black or the X type gray.... with the Sorex tires... you"ll be happy with them...

The X type has a bit more air gap..... they measure out a 4.4mm and the standard series measure out at 4.7~4.8mm

hey guys, just wondering, im in the market for a new car and i think iv got it narrowed down to either the bd or the 415ms, any of you guys run a 415 at one time maybe can give me a comparison to each and witch you liked better, iv read up on both and they both sound like stellar cars, any help would be greatly appreciated.

just a comment - i have not run a 415 - but consider parts availablitiy too. the 415 is difficult to get parts for and much more expensive from listening to all the guys racing it at socal. the yokomo BD is a very good car and parts are easy to get and much less expensive too

i owned the 415 from march 2004 until i sold it in nov 2004. the car was awesome. my brother told me having a hobby is an exercise in patience.. (i.e. building your car, sanding the chassis.. gluing tires.. then finally get to race).

well lets just say the 415 made me ONE VERY PATIENT person. although it is the reigning IFMAR world champion it is a tad more difficult to maintain when compared to the BD. ive actually rebuilt a diff during a race it is so easy to access with the BD.

The BD is an upgrade to the 415 design in my opinion. After running the 415 and the BD, there is no comparism to how they handle, the BD is much easier to drive and more importantly, easier to go fast with.
