Lets start of with this. Which esc's are you looking at and what is your goal? Are you going to be running stock, 13.5, or mod. All depends what you are trying to get done. Let us know and we will help you.

Default esc's

I recommend staying mainstream and running the Tekin rs pro since you mentioned running mod otherwise I would just suggest the RS or an LRP SXX stock spec v2. These two companies are at the top when it comes to esc's and you can always update the software if necessary. just my 2 cents I run a tekin in my TC and LRP off-road.

VTA has a limited selection of ESC's, none of which have been mentioned yet. The ESC you use for VTA would not really be interchangeable with one for mod.

Tekin and LRP are at the top of the game and very well supported for pretty much everything but VTA (there are other good brands as well), and you are limited mostly to Novak for VTA.

If you are looking to run all those classes I would look into purchasing a Speed Passion Citrix for VTA-13.5 blinky. $50 bucks or so. If you want to run mod I suggest the Tekin.

46 bucks. It will run vta, 17.5, 13.5 and up to a 9.5 on a 2s lipo. Very hard to beat for the price.
