Default Serpent impact m2 835 (235mm) brushless

Hello from greece .
Before few days i started to design parts to convert a serpent impact m2/835 to electric.
These wide 1/10 on road 235mm wheelbase class like serpent m2 or picco rs 600 ( bmt and mugen also made 235 cars) is 100% racing cars identical to 1/8 on road cars but lighter and smaller than 1/8 ,handles extremely well compared to 1/10 sedan.
So i think that a bl project on a serpent 235 will be very intersting
Here are the specs of the conversion:
4s saddle pack positioned on the center of the car
Prototype 2 piece motor mount height adjustable for 36 or 40 mm can motors
One piece aluminum support braket that will provide the mounting points for the motor mount for extra chassis stiffness.
Carbon upper radio plate.
The aluminum parts (motor mount and support bracket )will be ready tommorow so please stay tuned .

So lets see for last time how the car looks like before the conversion

Both aluminum support bracket and motor mount are already milled on 7075 t6 aluminum.

Adjustable motor mount height ....

For 36mm motors

and 40-42mm motors

Just waiting some 2,5mm carbon panel that i order and i ll continue the project so stay tuned.

Its time to make the battery tray before the carbon fiber arrive.
After many different position combination of sadle packs i finally decide how the batteries will fit on the battery tray .

Wow, bravo! Interesting that this did not get more attention.
These Serpent nitro RCs are incredibly engineered vehicles. Every part is so well designed out of the best materials at that time. Great car I am sad to see has all but vanished. Most of them sitting in pieces on our workbenches.
I myself have 1.5 serpents at home and wondering if the 1 deserves a brushless conversion. hmmm...
