ok but on our track with alot of 90 degree angles they get broke alot!!!!!!!!!
It is mainly when you clip the corner on a slight angle leaving the slightly turned wheel exposed. It only take a lil tap then!

yea that would be nice there is some fast guys here to race with.
rain city is great, some of the nicest racers i have met tehy will help you with anything that they can. also we have some big shot drivers to so you always have competition such as chris perry who got 2nd at last years paved nats in that tc3 i still use to prove its still a fast car and then we have andrew cartwright who is with tamyia and was in the reedy race invite class but he didnt fair to well becuase he had sergury the day he was suppose to fly down to Cali for the race.

The best of Rain City is INDOOR! and for washington that is a big deal, lol. we race 3 times a weeks and there is still great turn out during the summer. but yes the track is a little small but i like it that way, shafties far really well here. but thats the other thing about rain city is you will see every make car out here, where at other tracks and areas there is a real bias towards a certain car but not at rain city every car is a fast car here, you name it its probably won a race here even the pro3!

rcz: you're probably thinking of atomic hobby. They used to be Redmond Hobbies. They're now in Issaquah. Not really much to see out there except that they usually hold races every Sunday morning at 10 am outside in the parking lot. I haven't gone yet though.

So now you're thinking of moving back up here, eh? NEAT!

yup..I miss the Rain.. but I think the Bay ARea got more rain than you guys did. I heard Atomic Hobby only Race Tamiya cars. and in non-tamiya you need like 4-5 cars to form the class... that sucks... I guess I'll have to invest in a permanent asphalt facility where every car is welcome to race with a retractable roof like SafeCo field.

Sarcar is still racing outdoors in Renton on Sundays, mostly 1/8th on-road with some 1/10 nitro on a tempory track. Rain City is in Lynnwood, indoors electric carpet, all scales. Rain City uses the Sarcar track location on Saturdays in Renton for their outdoor program and then races Wednesdays and Fridays on the rug at their place.

RCZ: Yup, Atomic is pretty much a Tamiya only facility from what I understand. They do nitro too. FYI, my namesake was NOT taken from them. Hehe....And yeah, you guys definitely got a lot more rain than we did! Our ski season sucked too!

I think that they JUST opened or are about to open a new indoor facility by Ikea up here. I'm still not even sure if they're using asphalt or the material used on tennis courts. There's a thread about it in the NW forum. Might want to check that place out. Again, I think that place is replacing the Burien Raceway so it may be mostly Tamiya again. I haven't gone down to check it out yet though.

corrallyman: Is that you, Steve? The one who I talked to up at Raincity?

RCZ there is also a good outdoor track down in tacoma that races on sundays called fantasy world. and saidly SARCAR is dying due to that fact is costs alot to run and no one is really showing up. but there is plenty of racing! i race at the rain on wensdays, ftridays and saturdays, then down at fantasy world on sundays
