2nd heat - my batt came loose (first time on strap tape) ... so i abandoned.

3rd heat - was in 2nd place, but i made couple mistakes and ended 6th overal.

It was a great weekend, i won on GT Class and even when i didnt ended good on touring electric, im very very happy with the car, i already put the full graphite parts but the car still its heavier than TC5 or XRAY's.

Im preocupied with the final speed because im already on 3.94 FDR , engine its cool but still lacks just a little of final speed, thats on 13.5 brushless + nimh 6 cells on rubber/asphalt.

Here are couple pics, red car its mine :

Hope to make it better next time ...

Questions??

Hi,

Does anyone know what is causing the delay on the Hot Bodies Cyclone TC Kits (67700) being available in the hobby stores

Places like Stormer and Tower have not had a kit for some time. In fact Tower indicated availability as Mid-May, then Late May, and now Mid June

Any ideas

Thanks in advance

The Black edition is just the normal one. It was one of the first kits to come out.

(1) Superior currently ship to UK and Europe only.

There are a lot of places that sell the kit:
-- Tower
-- Stormer
-- A Main Hobbies
-- SpeechTech RC
-- RC Mushroom
-- RC Mart
-- RC Market
-- RC Model
-- Frontline & RC Hobbies (Australia)

However, all are generally out the vast majority of time.
One or two appeared on Stormer a few weeks ago, but went very quickly.
I've heard a few bad reports from one or two of the above shops.

(2) So the fundamental question still remains.
With such a popular car why is Hot Bodies (HPI) not keeping up with demand?

(3) I head a rumor (unconfirmed) that Hot Bodies are only doing a production run every two months due to the economic downturn.
Any confirmation of this ??
Maybe HB are coming out with a new model cyclone?

Thanks again

Guys, couple of questions :

- Anyone here using chassis and top deck from 3racing ?, how suppose to work the belt tensioner if the long belt ends too close to the upper deck so no way to "tension it" ?.

- Which tape you recommend to secure batteries ?, i installed today the 3racing velcro strap but i think kinda sucks on the Cyclone chassis. It ended so so good but little ugly. Hated to drill the chassis out.

- Any tip to lightweight the car ?.

thanks a lot,

Pat

One of the reason i bought the cyclone was i was thinking it was going to be easier to find parts than my 7 year old TC3. so far that is not the case. Fortuntely i havent broke anything yet though! Yet that is

Yes, me too.

I'm starting to wonder if I made the correct decision to go with the Cyclone TC ??

Cheers (that's three EEK!s)

I suppose you could add the Pro4 to the top your list, as thats where the Cyclone originated from

In chronological order:

Original Cyclone / Black Edition
S = tub entry level chassis
Surikarn Edition (blue anodising)
Hara Edition (same as Surikarn but purple anodising)
Andy Moore / WC / WCE Edition

Cyclone TC (current)

Oh and yes the HPI Pro4 would go on top of the list, so too would the rest of the predated Pro3, Pro2, and the RS4, looking from an evolutionary perspective
