Does anyone know what the IMPLUSE on/off does or is? it is a variable on stage 1 and 2 of the step charge.

It's the mega-flex charge.

Using mega-flex charge, it hurt less the battery and battery life will be increase.

any place to read or understand what that charge type is doing. Seems like some type of pulse charge - yes/no?

Will there be software upgrades made available for tis charger? I saw annoucement or something that made me thinl that there maybe upgrades at some point?

thx

I have tested a litle with the Megaflex and it generates less heat, increase runtime a litle, but with a litle less power overall..... Should make the cells last longer as well, perfect for practice and club racing!

For serious racing, the step charge is the new standard, amazing performance!! and it also hurts the cells less than with normal linear charge......

understand step charging and agree been using it for a long time with other chargers that offered step.

but is megaflex just a version of pulse charge? yes/no

i like the charge from this charger from the last week of working with it and two days of use.

thanks

Mega-Flex is pulse charging with negative puls
On the advantage, you can adjust the negative pulse. The longer the pulse, the stronger the effect. (page 24)

Default MegeFlex Advantage Charger

Mega Flex charging is a technique applying a reverse pulse during charging. On the Advantage charger this pulse can be adjusted from 5 ms to 20 ms.

The idea beind the discharge pulse is to redirect the migration of oxide gas away from the reacting plates, preventing oxidation, allowing the battery to prolong its life and capacity.

The results show improved charge input and output, lower heat generation during charge. The Mega Flex charging consumes gas bubbles generated during charge at the positive and negative electrodes. Removing bubbles increases the effective electrode surface area, results in a lower charge overvoltage and reduces cell pressure.

So the track testing of Eirik are correct ! More punch with Step Charging, more battery life with Mega Flex !

A lot of gas and bubbles here...
Is this before or after eating the beans?

Step charging will provide excellent punch. The cells will generate less heat during the discharge and internal resistance will be lower.

Mega flex will provide more runtime with less punch. Like Eirik say, perfect for club race or leisure.

Default middle step

Hi,

What is the purpose of step 2 at such a low amp for about 50mah. Is this to also increase battery life?
