If you analyse the shape of the stock and purple option part, you'll notice that they dont really fit the profile of side-by-side packs. Rather a stick pack will sit just fine on them. Since stickpacks tend to heat up more, it makes sense to have a "heat spreader" metal version of the holder.

That pro drivers or other people put their side-by-side packs on the holder doesnt mean it is a good idea to do so.

Default IB3600s

Has anyone used this charger for charging IB3600s? I have used mine a couple times for them. I have been using the GP3700s profile on the Orion site. Just curious if any has tried some different configuration for these cells.

Thanks,

I have seen the latest charging method of Atsushi Hara in the Team orion FAQ, it is the one from the Reedy Race.

I thought this is the same as the MMR Cell Master. That one can charge LiPos.

the Advantage charger is not like the MMR Cell Master - ie not made by MMR

the Advantage provides an excellent charge though and at the recent Reedy Race was very popular with many using it BUT there also where a lot of Cell Masters around.

charging LiPo's will change IMHO and require a new charger before they become "main stream" for TC's.

if your looking for a good solid charger for the current batteries the Advantage works extremely well, just doesn't have $80 of kinda nice to have bells and whisltes on it.

OK, here is a question for you guys....

I am trying to break in motors and with my 19t and mod motors it will spin up and then say MOTOR SHORT OR NOT CONNECTED. Well, the motor is connected and nothing is wrong.

Any ideas?

2.0V @ 2min are the settings....

I've had the same problem. You get that error message when the current draw on the motor goes over 10 amps.
