Guo--I can't speak directly for the Advantage charger, but, I have an integy 16X9 and I charge my packs the night before a race then I simply re-peak or charge them again the next day before I race. Hope this helps

Guo,
The "peak" feature starts after the charge. I don't believe you can just activate the "peak" feature. This is why there is an option for the amount of time, before the charger peaks the battery.

Yes you can charge from a 12V battery, and you can see it on the Team Orion web page. But I would buy the Advantage, the best charger today imo.

Guys, I fried mine, the other day. I tried the motor run-in feature. It was set to 5 volts - twice it shut off because of the high amp draw. I reduced the voltage to 2 and started, but a minute later, it slowed and started to smoke. I immediately stopped it. I'd only had it for a couple of days and only used it once, to cycle a new pack. Now, I guess, i'll be sending it back to Team Orion. I now see, that I didn't get the updated version. just my luck.
