Default TL-01 gear crunching

I have a TL-01 that makes a crunching noise when i accelerate from a rolling start, or all the time when i have tape on the tires for drifting, i think it is on the front gear of the shaft that goes to the front wkeels... its like its not sitting close enough to the other gears
any help would be great
Cheers

Make sure you are using the correct motor mount screw locations for the pinion you are using.

Or if all else fails....take it apart to actually see if anything is messed up!

Check the shaft gear, and make sure the pin is in correctly. Also it is very common to get a small pebble in the gear. As the suspension compresses, it opens up the bottom of the chassis, allowing debri in. You can use tape to help seal it.
