No, it will obviously have a Fantom part number but it is the same motor only tuned by Fantom. I'm not tryin to be a pain in the azz about this, just thought if it will be allowed I would just get these motors, if not I will have the shop order in some Orions. They are identical though, I was looking at one today. Lock timing, machine wound, stand up brushes they whole works, just Fantom label. I'm running a similiar motor now but it is a hand wound armature from a local builder and I would not even try to bring that there even though it was done to legal ROAR specs. So see what Scotty says and get back to us.

Hi. don't know if this has been asked yet, but will brushless motors (novak) be allowed in 1/12 mod or regular 1/10 mod? I know there is a 1/10 brushless class, but could I run in regular mod if I wish? Thanks for the help. I hope I can get my entry in soon...............

There is a 1/10th scale brushless foam class. You can read the official info on www.intchamps.com

boomer, that did'nt answer my question. since the novak/lrp units are roar/ifmar legal, why wouldnt they be allowed to run in normal mod? since there is no 1/12 mod, why wouldn't they be allowed to run in this class also. the site does not explain the motor requirements of mod motors, only stock and 19t. is this race going to run by rules set forth by an organization like roar or ifmar? i dont' care either way, just want to know the rules for brushless before i send in my entry.
thanks.

I would probably say no. I would assume that is why there is a separate brushless class.

If they were allowed in the other classes why would they have the separate class? Am I missing something?
