A++++ for Jack the Gripper and the lack of stink. Nice to walk into a track and not get smacked in the face. It's not that Paragon isn't awesome, that smell just gets most people sick.

That's just an example of the kind of person Scotty is. I've been to Trackside once. I said Hi to Scotty when we got there, then went through the race weekend and we went home. I didn't win my main or TQ or anything, so I wasn't some kind of star or anything.

Two years later, Scotty comes to our track for a race, and he walks right up to me and says, "Hey Marshall...how are you?" I was dumbfounded. He's an amazing guy with boundless energy. This event is simply an extension of what a great guy he is.

Can't wait to attend this event next year!

I started to type a feel good story about the times that I have had with Scotty, but I felt like a homo,I thought people would make fun of me,but I guess all I can say is Scotty is on top of things and makes you feel welcomed!!!

you guys got that right... Scotty and his crew were, as always, amazing!!! i doubt anyone can find a better race director!!!

i had a similar start with him... he came to an Invitational race here in OK a couple years ago in early spring, i maybe talked to him 2-3 times tops. when our gang went to the novak the next Jna, what does he say? "hey Wes, glad you could make it..." and he has remembered me ever since.

he is a class act, for sure!!!

Wes

Yep very very very rarely does Scotty forget a name.. I was at the track one night.. and this guy comes in and scotty says he so and so whats up... The guy looks at him funny, and says how do you remeber my name..

turns out the guy had ome into scotty's place like 5-6 years before, just to look around and ask questions.. but he introduced himself, and scotty never forgot..

This race was awesome, I only wish we had a buffet on every day, those were the times I actually ate real food, not just goldfish .

I hope that after people realized how nice it was to have time table like the IIC's, more US races will follow. Being able to look at the digital boards to see what race was up, how much time was left, and people lap times was also super helpful (and cool).

Jack the Gripper was great, honestly couldn't notice a difference in smell when you walked into the ballroom. Well, there was a small difference, no body was allowed to smoke in the ball room but they could elsewere.
