Boomer,

I know we are not pitting in our rooms, but I was told will not be allowed to take our cars to the rooms at any time. Is this true?

Ack! I hope not . Then it really sucks the pits close 30 min after racing. But it's just a rumor...

Scotty told me you cannot pit in your rooms. If you use a towel as a tire rag you will be billed big $$. If you leave you room funky you will get a REAL unpleasant surprise on your credit card statement when you get home. This is not the Holiday Inn at Cleveland or the Ramada at the Snowbirds. If you abuse you room you will PAY and Scotty will not be allowed to come back next year.

Just use your head. Before you do any R/C activity in your room as yourself if your wife/mom would let you do this on her nice coffee table in the middle of your living room. If the answer is NO then stop and do it at your pit space in the morning.

Default News from the Stardust

Hey everybody,
Team IIC is here at the Stardust and everything is running perfect.
We are even ahead of schedule and going out tonight.

Rumor has it there is a big poker tournament at Binions with a number of the top RC drivers competing. Scotty and Boomer are going to head down there just to check it out...actually Boomer said he is going to lay the smack down on the gang. We'll let you know what happens if we can. Whatever happens...

Tomorrow is a big day and then we will be working hard early on Wednesday morning to get everything set up.

If you are coming down, we'll see you here and otherwise stay tuned on rcTech to keep up with the happenings.

Going out...

A quick addition to Adrian's message:
Things you can be charged for if damaged or missing from your room.
CD clock radio $89, Amenities Tray $25, Bath towels $39, Pillows $25, Mattress $125, Pool Towel $50 (must be better than the bath towel).
Anyway, this is Vegas and Vegas is $$$$.

I have no intention of pitting in my room, but I would like to work on my car at my leisure in my room (since the track/pits will close after the heats are over). The rumor I heard was that our equipment would be locked in the ballroom and we would NOT BE ALLOWED to take our cars/equipment from the ballroom. I just would like to know up front what the rules are. I was planning to bring my own table/chairs to use in my room so I wouldn't harm thr hotel table. If NO WORK is allowed in the sleeping I won't bring them.

Man with 5 1/2 hour rounds you will have plenty of time to work on your car in the pits.... after the pits close its time to enjoy the town, not work on your car
