I know Joseph has been super busy so he hasn't had much time to post on rctech.

There are some cool new things coming our way and hopefully we'll see them in the next few months. Hopefully everyone is doing well at the track.

I know I'm in the onroad forum, But I will like to know if GQ made some foam tire for the carpet "oval" car?

I used the GQ tire for my first season in the Nitro 200mm class and I like it very much. I finish fourth overall in the point standing and miss the second spot that I hold all the season because of some car failure at the very last race...

But the summer is over and in the winter I race mostly Oval so it's why I would like to know if they have oval tire? RC4LESS sell oval tire that really look like the GQ, but I never saw GQ oval tire anywhere?

If anyone is using the GQ micro tires on a wide open track and experience traction rolling problems, I think I have a fix

First you can CA the sidewalls to help take away some of the side bite..next put the tire on a truer...I took about 1/4 of the original diameter off (sorry, not an exact amount since I've run the same tires for the last 2 race days)..

This combination along with traction compound (full rears and just about full fronts) helped me get the traction I needed without getting a nasty push while going thru a wide open turn...

I should have mentioned first, that I'm running the C2 40's in the front and the C2 30's in the rear...These are same tires we used during Pottbelly's R/C Raceway's East Coast Championship in October...Just had more time to test and "play" with them...

next race I think I'm going to try a cut down set of the new C2 45's with C2 30's rears

I should mention that I qualified 4th for the A-main...and ended up winning the "A" by more than 3 seconds over an incredibly hard charging 2nd place car...The tires and traction just kept getting better and better each run
