Default Unmatched 3600 vs Matched 3300?

Hey Guys

Could you help me out i wanna start stock racing and i was told that Unmatched 3600 batteries will have longer run time(obviously) and also have the same punch as matched 3300 packs.

Can anyone verify this?

Also i was told that i could charge the 3600 at 6.2 amps cause it has 300 mah more than the 3300...

Any help or input would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

I have heard that the 3600 batteries have quite low voltage and punch compared to similair poriced gp3300, gp3300 will have enough runtime to do a full 5 minute stock race. The 3600 will lack in punch and that 300mah will be a waste. The gp3300 will probably be a wiser choice. Also charging at more than 6amps with any pack isnt very wise unless you dont want your packs to last as long as they could.

You can't compare matched packs (no specific numbers) to unmatched packs (random numbers). I can't say that I agree at all with what crow said.

the intellect 3600's have high voltage, low IR, and long runtime. They NEED to be charged at 6 amps to get the max power and life out of them. A 4-5 amp charge will hurt the life and performance. Either battery will make the end of a stock race. From your question, I would guess that your level of racing would not benefit from top dollar cells, so go ahead and buy unmatched 3600's b/c they are much cheapier than matched 3300's.

I meant the sanyo 3600, I heard they are garbage, dont know about the intellects. Also I heard the 6amp charge being unproductive from a trinity website I think

Intellect doesnt cycle their cells before distribution. So unlike GP, the consumer could get 1.19 cells and 1.16 cells together. GP unmatched cells would all be around 1.15. 6 amps is the best rate for racing and 5 amps is the best for practice/bashing.

i have been using intellect 3600's for some time now and i have found it to be great. it perfroms just was well as my matched packs. i guess its cause i zapped the cells prior to using.
when i got home from our LHS i zapped the cells at 220V DC twice. then let it rest for 24 hours. then i assembled the packs and the punch is really noticable and i cycled it on my futaba cdr-5k. the numbers that resulted after 30 amp discharge was quite impressive.
