Default Inferno GT brushless conversion ?

I am looking at converting my Inferno GT to brushless for local racing.

We have a very strong Nitro GT8 class going but a few of us would like to try out brushless as well. The discussion so far had been 4s lipo and approx a 1900kv to 2100kv motor. The track we race are fairly short, so higher KV or a 2 speed conversion may not be an advantage.

I have a GT1 roller and have looked at a few different conversion kits. So far the readily available kits I see are the Kyosho, Speed Passion & Kershaw designs.

The Speed Passion puts the motor on the Drivers side, while the Kershaw appears to put in on the passenger or servo side. Does one layout have an advantage over the other? Which would provide the best weight balance?

Anyone have experience with either kit? or have another kit to recommend?

Thanks

you should check out http://www.rc-monster.com/search.php...&sman=&x=0&y=0

99% sure it works with gt1, if not he can make it, you should join the forum there and ask, thats what they do

Hi, Go to a Site called www.ebaumsworld.com where they have a complete video
showing the complete electric conversion process on a Kyosho Inferno GT2
PS. When you get to the site, in the search box, type electric conversion and it
will go to the video list halfway down the list you will find the Inferno GT2 Conversion

Thanks for the replies..... I was hopeing to find someone who had tried a couple different styles of kits.

I think for speed runs the RC Monster is hands down the best for all out speed, I want to build one more for racing.

Last night we raced one and he actually won the sportsmans class. He is running the discontinued Castle Creations kit, so he is running two 5000mah 4S lipos in paralell, He was able to make a 15 minute main with no issues at all. His car is quite heavy but it handles well. He has a 8.5t 550 motor and his EPA was set around 80%, they did speed runs down the back straight against a few nitros and set it so he was about the same speed.

I guess I will keep looking around....thanks

Since all the kits I see only have one battery the weight will be lower but I will have to see whats the highest mah 4s I can get to make 15-20 minute mains.
