I use one in my old B4 for 17.5 blinky. Gearing 33/72 (5.67 FDR) with a hair under 20 endbell timing advance. I reach a max temperature of about 130-135 after 6 mins depending on traction.

I never had another 17.5 so I can't compare sorry. I felt like it had good power and I qualified 2nd out of about 12 people a couple weeks ago. They were not blowing my doors off or anything.

Trinity used to dominate On-Road in the days of "Magic", but judging by the response we have gotton on using this motor in 1/12TH, they don't care anymore. Guess dirt rules.

For 1/12 start with what you where geared at with a different motor and check temps and adjust from their. This isnt that hard guys, im sure it will only be a couple of teeth different.

Of course I can do that, I've been doing this a long time, but other racers running other cars get prompt answers and 1/12TH gets NO answers at all except "figure it out guys". I realize we are a small minority in the grand scheme of RC, but it would be nice not to be ignored.

Go ask on the ROAR asphalt nats thread, there is a large number of the local 1/12 racers using Trinity motors @ the track.
