What it appears to be per new info from the other thread -

Well first qualifier in the books. Motor goes like a bat of hell out of the corner. To make up you have to gear up for the straight.

So its not the fastest setup for the straight away but you can gear it about 4-5 teeth higher than usual and it will rev up to the top speed a lot faster pulling your car out of the corner very very hard. When you gear it up the teeth it keeps pace on the straight away as well but gear it normal and you won't be the fastest car down the straight. Simply put for temps and power all around from the motors I have run, there isn't another motor I would rather have in my car.

So all in all I will say that geared right it will keep up with any motor, stay cooler, and rev up extremely fast.

My only complaint about the motors.....Dieter get us the 13.5 asap!!!

I did compare it to my Reedy motor as well and while my reedy go up to the same speed geared lower with about the same timing. But just the pull out of the corner is amazing.

If you run 17.5 call someone to get this motor asap.

Dont worry about the batch. There is no " timing fix". They run 30 degrees of timing at 0 on the timing mark. 20 degrees is equal to 50 degrees. Superior has a few in stock still. From my understanding trinity is boxed and shipping. You can order from Superior or direct from team trinity.com.

If you dremeled your motor and your looking to sell it I may be interested.

Got to run it over the week end for outdoors and was a great race!

I had the same settings as with the revtech and the motor did run cooler so i lowered my FDR and it was just about right. I think i should have lowered it a bit more but I ended up being trigger happy and need to work on the car setup

Grunt out of the corners is definitely there and as per Nolan i will definitely add few more teeth higher for more straight speed on the next outing.

if you check the revtech at full timing and the d3.5 it ends up the same i dont think anyone would need more timing than its got already or meltdowns may happen

I would assume the 12.5 hi-torque which should pull you out of the corner harder. The only thing is does someone know for sure what's in the motor? I haven't pulled mine apart cause its fast enough for right now.
