What do you think that EA does to these motors? I know he tests the stator and rotor. But do you really think that EA grabs all the motors and goes boy that Nolan kid placed an order I know I have never met him and its his first order with me but boy. I'm gonna build a super motor for him? No. once again he just tests them and puts them back together.
There are some small things you can do to make them run better also but not a lot.

What rotor comes in the motor?

What rotor is everyone going to?

When you shim a motor exactly what should I be doing or looking for?

The stock is the 12.3mm Wide Power Band???

Most switch to the 12.5mm High Torque (the stock one is a good rotor too)

There is a measurement but I don't know that part.

The high torque pulls tall gearing better (like on big tracks or slow motors).

The broad band is "neutral" feeling and good all-around.

The high RPM is nice for mod motors because it runs cooler, and you don't need as much low-end due to the gearing and power.

Mod is all about choice. Why in the world would you pick this ugly purple abomination? I get it for stock, but man, give me something nice like an X20 anywhere else.

Lol. Cause I'm gonna support my local motor scientist. I hear he's a whiz. See below. It will take a lot for me to stop running Jim's motors .

Ea on your website you state the you set the timing on the 17.5s to the optimum timing, is that or each individual motor on your dyno? Also my home track has less than a 100 ft straight, but I'll also be running at a track with a 220 foot straight, would you reccomend the 12.3 or 12.5 high torque?
