I agree but it looks like a lot of parts for an F1. Maybe they know something we don't.

Bolt the f104 front end on it and it's every bit as realistic as any other mainstream F1 chassis.

I'm trying to work out why TOP have included a pan car front end with the kit
Is there an F1 class somewhere out there that allows that setup ?

Looking at pictures on line, it appears that allowing "non realistic" front ends is common in Asia.

On the other hand, thumbs up for making provisions for a 104 front end

Most of Asia is still running F1 with foam tire.
For example, F1RCGP races are still open to 200mm wide chassis and foam tire.

Here in Spain (Europe) there are no rules about front axles or control tyre, most people use F103 200 mm with foam tyres or even Corally F1 cars with pro10 tires, and all cars run together. This car can be a good option here. I run one F104 type car on rubber Shimizu tyres.

I'm well aware of that
Just not the whole pan car chassis/wide front end with F1 body dealio

Wish that 200mm Foam class was more popular here too, but at least we have a strong turnout of F1, even if on rubbers

They are just recycleing parts from the 1/12th they make. It would take about a day to dream up the carbon plates and throw a F1 chassis together.
They have to include the front end because what else do the have to offer. Just that odd rear axle set up.
These front ends are allowed in Japan but Tamiya is by far the prefered front end,F103 or F104. Tamiya is just so cheap and easy to maintain over anything else.

It is not really the scale aspect it is more racing cars where all the front suspension components need to be concealed under the body. If we do not worry about concealing the working parts of the car under the body then I am just going to strap a F1 body on a pan car.
