Ok buddy...

First and formost. Get a GOOD chisel tip-soldering iron. If you don't know how to solder read the soldeing guide on Xtreme RC's website:

www.rc411.com

Secondly, DO GET A Deans Battery building Jig!

It is the ONLY way to fly when it comes to building batts.

Goto www.promatch racing and order your batts assembled, they assemble them anyhow you like.... w or w/o connectors and only costs $6 extra.... I've paid more for bars in the past.....

VERY BAD IDEA!!!

Gun types are the WORST for RC applications. Look For a Weller WES-51 or Hakko 936 Station. I you need cheap but good...Get a Lenk 40Watt iron or Weller 40 Watt iron.

You need a large hot contact area to transfer the heat, you dont get this with a gun.
