HPI Sprint 2 Mods

I've got a couple of race days on my new setup. I'm gradually getting it dialed in. Some of my race buddies have been very helpful. I did swap out the springs as per Heretic's suggestion and it helped a lot. I've been trying different positions on the shocks to see if I can plant the rear. I'm getting a lot of steering so I'm also easing that up a bit to balance it out. By the time I got it to the main is was a lot better but still needs a bit of help. I hope to dial it in at the next race in just under two weeks. Amazingly I didn't break hardly anything. I had to replace the ball cups on the rear camber links with RPM cups as the Associated ones can still break there. I still run the Associated ones in front as they don't bind and have taken the punishment just fine.
I also hope to have my second Sprint 2 up and running for that race day. It will be a Nastruck setup with a 17.5 motor in it. I'm debating between the Associated aluminum shocks and a set of Xray composite shocks I have. I think I'll try the Xray shocks on this one. I'll measure them first and go with the shorter set.
I'll post some pictures of this chassis soon and get some better pictures of the mods I'm doing.

RC Calc Program
Here's program for your pc / lap top =
A program for RC drivers that does A LOT of STUFF!!!
It's a little "buggy" (IMAO) =
Inputting data can drive you nutz at times til you get the jist of things
They have the Sprint 2 Sport listed as a "combustion" type car - not electric =
Just change to brushed or brushless
The FDR for the S2 is incorrect
HPI Sprint 2 Sport IDR (Internal Gear ratio in this program) = 33/15=2.133333333333 etc.
Rounded to 2.133
You can save to disk, print out and create templates, etc.
The proggy is FREE - But you can donate to the developers
http://calcrc.com/index.htm
I just ran the SPEED calc section:
My S2, geared the way it is now for Westgate, calcs out to -
32.93 MPH with a fully charged (8.4v) battery
And down to 29.1 MPH when the battery drops to 7.4v
Print out =
I run a Turnigy TrackStar 21.5T @ Westgate =
I input the kV manually and the program found a compatible (?) motor in it's data base and plugged it in =
The Corally X-BP for the print out phase = ("bug"?)
Screen shots page =

Oh boy looks like the new motor didnt work
i can feel the same slight pulse in the new motors shaft when you pull the throttle trigger and when you let off it stops pulsing.
The ESC seems to be working goes green light on forwadr yellow in nuetral and red in reverse, you can feel the pulse in the motor shaft.
the reciever works and blinks if the control is off going into fail safe and when you unplug the ESC from the reciever the ESC constantly beeps, what am i not seeing here?

Hello everyone! My name is Harrison and I'm new the the RC world. This is my very first RC car. It's an HPI Sprint 2 Sport. Hopefully I'll learn a few tricks while on this forum.
