Running on totally, oily tracks.

Hi all!
Today I had the chance to run my first race, but the track was shared with nitro cars, and the surface was very, very oily. Things were also compounded by the slightly drizzly weather.

Have you ever encountered this situation and how's a good way to get traction? Different tires? Drifting all the way? KO all the gas cars? :D One of the dudes using Sorex 28Rs (hi hi TQ!) came back after a 5 minute run with his tires looking brand new! The track was that annoyingly gripless :(

During my first heat and practise laps I had sucess with Tamiya Type A tyres, but after the first heat, nothing sticks :(
For my Final I took my Dyna Run to replace my 14x2 - much better at handling but lacks top end on the straight :(

Thanks for any advice!

Alvin

did you try foam tires? i heard that its good for oily tracks...

or you know what you could do...tell the guys to clean up the track once i a while!

Hehe race regulations only allow rubber tires!

Nah on normal days (non-race) the track is pretty grippy (36rs 6pm++ Tamiya Type As 8pm++) Just today the Nitro & Eletric cars have to run the same track. Ack.

Give a try to ProLine's Road Rage on S3 compound, and use them with the blue foam...

Grippy, very grippy, but lifetime reduced.
